Asus just announced their second generation of smartwatch at the ongoing trade show, IFA 2015 in Berlin. Asus Zenwatch 2 is unveiled and can be considered as a cheaper smartwatch available in the market for the price tag of $170. The provide will hit the global market in October.
While Motorola, Huawei and others prepping to launch their connected devices in the near future, Asus has taken a wise step in launching it before them and that too for a dead cheap price. Asus Zenwatch 2 is a feature packed wearable with a heavy customizable options. It will be a great competitor for upcoming Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch.
Asus Zenwatch 2 runs on Latest Android Wear!
The Zenwatch 2 will run on latest Android Wear OS version 1.3 that enables the smartwatch to work with Apple devices as well. It is powered by Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, a new metal crown and supports a magnetic charger cable. This wearable is also has a superior dust-and water-resistance ratings of IP67. It comes in two display sizes, one with 1.45-inch and another with 1.63-inch.
The Asus Zenwatch 2 features a durable stainless-steel case available in two sizes and three attractive colors — Silver, Gunmetal, and Rose Gold. There are 18 different strap material and color combinations. There is a supple rubber strap comes in Blue, Orange, Red, and Taupe colors for suitable for athletes. A soft, premium leather strap is available in Khaki, Brown, Gray, Blue, and Orange colors. Lastly, stainless-steel link bracelet comes in Silver, Gunmetal, or Rose Gold that can make the wearable look premium.

Zenwatch 2 is one of the best wearable we can consider today. Though there is lack of battery details, Asus says the latest version provides 35% faster battery recharge times than the previous Zenwatch. The quick charging facility can charge ZenWatch 2 from zero to 50% capacity in mare 36mins.
Coming to the pricing of the Asus Zenwatch 2, the larger 1.63-inch variant will be available at $170 and the smaller one at $190. Both will be hitting store shelves worldwide in October.
