Is the Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra holding the OnePlus Mini?

As we are eagerly waiting to the witness launch of the next device from OnePlus, the rumor mill has started pouring in extensively. What’s supposed to be the OnePlus Mini was found passing through the FCC and TENAA regulatory authorities in the US and China. Surprisingly, a meeting between the Xiaomi Global VP Hugo Barra and CEO of OnePlus Pete Lau will heat things up. Is this the OnePlus Mini Hugo Barra is holding in the alleged picture?

What was expected to be the launch of the next device from OnePlus in yesterday’s event has ultimately disappointed the enthusiasts. The company just announced the plans about producing devices in India. When asked about which device, the OnePlus India GM said “upcoming devices”. There were no specifics about the device being assembled in India as of now.

The surprise element that popped after Hugo Barra meeting Pete Lau raised eyebrows and seemed skeptical. But what was more interesting is the alleged image that appeared online after the meet. Does that image look like recently leaked OnePlus Mini images from TENAA in white?


Well, for us it really looks like the white variant of the upcoming device, OnePlus Mini. Though we aren’t sure about the actuals of the device, the rear panel and the camera position are matching with the recently leaked images and the logo seems to be covered to avoid the hiccups.

Also, the company has started to teasing about their upcoming launch via social media site Facebook today. This seems like the device is indeed coming our way soon!


The OnePlus Mini is expected to come in 5-inch full HD 2.5D arc display, 1.9GHz MTK6795 Helio X10 SoC, 2GB RAM, 2450mAh battery and a USB Type-C port. It might come with a CNY 999 price tag in China.

Also, as per the sources, the device is expected to be unveiled on October 22. Can this be a OnePlus Mini we are waiting to see? Share yours thoughts.
