The latest news is, officials of China’s LeTV have shown a green light to “LeTV India” plan. This will surely disrupt the market again!
LeTV has been one of the premium device maker in China. The company that started as a video streaming website, have forayed into smartphones and other smart device industry as well.
LeTV India – More than a smartphone!
Beginning of September we got to hear about LeTV making its way to India as their plans towards expanding globally. Well, India seems to be a high priority and a top level market for any device makers to go global. Talking to TOI, LeTV India officials said,
Most people in India probably haven’t heard of LeTV yet, but indications are that LeTV would soon build up a presence here to tap into one of the fastest growing markets for smart phones and other smart devices, with plans to start selling its streaming service and devices
The plan seems like, LeTV wants to bring all of their services to India. Recently, the company has unveiled three smartphones namely LeTV are LeTV One, LeTV One Pro, and LeTV Max. They are all set to launch the next iteration of the devices along with a 4K compatible TV which is rumored to sell for as low as $50! We might see most of these devices, making its way to India soon. Also, a company might use their eCommerce website LeMall to sell their services locally that is currently curating the email IDs for further announcements.
All-in-all, LeTV India plan seems to shake the smartphone market in India. Other Chinese vendors like Xiaomi, Meizu and others might feel the heat going forward. Hoping to see LeTV pricing aggressively to grab the market. LeTV One Pro for Rs. 25,000? How many will go for it?
