Moto 360 2nd Gen Smartwatch Launching on September 8 in Shanghai

Motorola is all set to unveil its next masterpiece device. After all the recent successful smartphone launches, the company is prepping to launch the next iteration of smartwatch. Motorola’s parent company Lenovo has announced the launch date of Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. It is confirmed to launch in Shanghai on September 8.

According to the recent leak, Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch is expected to come in two variants. One of the variant is expected to feature same size dial as of 1st gen device and named as Moto 360L that is the larger version. Another variant, Moto 360S is supposed to be made for the smaller wrist and as per the name it will feature a smaller dial.

Lenovo teased Moto 360 2nd Gen – It’s Time!

Now the rumor is almost confirmed by Lenovo who has confirmed the launch of the device. The teaser teased on Weibo with the tag line “It’s time” with the image below is all about the smartwatch. Also the image confirms the new position of the physical button which now sits at 2 o’clock position.


Talking about the features of the devices leaked so far, both of them will have Bluetooth LE and WiFi b/g/n connectivities. The smaller version Moto 360S will feature 1.37-inch display with dial size of 38mm and equipped with 270mAh battery. The bigger Moto 360L will have slightly larger 1.55-inch display with 46mm dial and 375mAh battery. It might be powered by latest version of Android Wear OS.

Moto 360 Sports Variant is in making?

We might even see an another variant of the Moto 360 2nd Gen as per the famous leakster, UpLeaks. As per the new leak, the new sport variant will come with a Hybrid Display optimized for outdoor use and will have 3ATM Water Resistance, GPS, and Barometer.
