Google has finally started pushing its Android One program which was slowly fading away after its first run. But what we are seeing lately is, the program is picking up a new wave of life and bigger brands are falling in line. After the successful launch of Xiaomi A1 in India, now HTC is rumored to launch their first phone under Android One program. A rebranded HTC U11 Life is going to feature no-sense UI a.k.a Pure Android version!
HTC U11 Life Stock Android Version
As per the latest leak by not-so-famous leakster on Twitter, LlabTooFeR has revealed this news to the public. He’s a custom ROM developer that occasionally leaks HTC news. According to his tweet, HTC Ocean_life, the codename for HTC U11 Life will have a stock Android running under Android One program. That means we will be no HTC customizations, including Edge Sense, Zoe and the HTC Camera app (good or bad?).
This is true. And it looks like this, for those who haven’t seen… pic.twitter.com/gThlkozEdF

As soon as LlabTooFeR leaked this info, famous leakster Evan Blass joined him in sharing the image of HTC U11 Life. Though the device shows running HTC Sense UI, Evan says, the leak is, in fact, true and this is how the device looks like.
In terms of the specifications of the device, HTC U11 Life is rumored to feature 5.2-inch full HD display, 16MP camera on front and rear, recently launched Snapdragon 630 SoC, water resistant (IP68 maybe?) and HTC’s Edge Sense squeeze gestures (for the original one which will run HTC Sense UI).
Android One Part-2?
Following HTC and Xiaomi, Moto and LG are expected to launch their devices under Android One program. Google has, in fact, started pushing Android One program and there is a new life or a second chance given to it.
It is not sure whether when and where the device will be available. Knowing HTC as a global brand, we might see the device launching in the global platform including US and India. Also, Android One program is aimed to push stock Android to budget and mid-range segments. However, the focus is mainly on security, simplicity, and fast updates which we hardly see in these two segments!
