While the smartphone industry, especially those running on Android OS is seeing a massive shift in terms of the hardware. Most of the smartphones launched this year had 3GB RAM as a base. But then the Chinese firms took it to the next level by packing 6GB RAM on their flagship. But the popular brands across the world had settled wit 4GB RAM max. But wait, Samsung seems to have jumped into the smartphone with 6GB RAM bandwagon with their upcoming Samsung Galaxy C9.
What started as a new trend in 2016, now seems to be a new benchmark to beat by all smartphone vendors. While software optimization taking up a lot of time for companies to make it work on 3GB of RAM, they have started bumping up the RAM itself to handle the OS. Yes, to an extent, that’s the truth. While on the other hand, end users will have an enough space to play around.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Leaked Specification Packs 6GB RAM
Yes, that’s surprising. But knowing the C-series is meant for China (at least for now), Samsung wants to take on Chinese vendors on their home ground. So the company is prepping a smartphone with 6GB RAM.
Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy C9, a device made its appearance on AnTuTu and Geekbench benchmarking websites today with a model name SM-C9000. This device packs a huge 6-inch full HD display. It will be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor and Adreno 510 GPU. The device comes with 16MP cameras on both rear and front.
In terms of the storage, there will be 64GB of built-in storage. It will be running on Android Marshmallow out of the box.
There isn’t much information available on the pricing and availability side as of now. But as it has already appeared on the benchmarking website, the launch should be around the corner. The Samsung Galaxy C9 will be joining its predecessors C5 and C7 in China soon!
