Fairly unknown brand to most of the India’s called TCL Corporation entered India recently with their first offering TCL 560. Well, frankly, nobody took them seriously until today when the company went on to unveil their range of televisions and a smartphone. We will carry an another article separately for televisions. The smartphone that was unveiled by the company today was TCL 562 with a better specification compared to the older 560 model.
Did we say, TCL Corporation is fairly unknown? Pardon me! For those of you who don’t know, TCL Corp is a parent company of Alcatel mobiles. Now, they are also the manufacturers of recently launched Blackberry DTEX50. They aren’t small at after all. Just to add one more point, TCL stands in No. 3 in the global consumer electronics department.
TCL 562 – A lightweight device with usual specs at this price segment!
The only device that went official in front of the big screen televisions is TCL 562. It comes with a mediocre plastic outer shell. But under-the-hood, it packs MediaTek’s Helio P10 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM backing it for better smartphone experiences. It flaunts 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with 400ppi.
In terms of the shooters, there is a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5MP front camera with wide view angle front lens. Comes with 32GB inbuilt storage and expandable storage capabilities with microSD card slot. There is a dual-SIM card with the primary being nano-SIM and secondary with micro card size. The best part is, there is a front facing fingerprint scanner which was accurate in our short time with the device.
Weighing just 150 grams, the TCL 562 is very light weight with 2960 mAh battery. All thanks to the plastic casing. It also packs a Hi-Fi audio chipset for better sound clarity. Lastly, it runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box.

The TCL 562 will be available in Amazon India portal for Rs. 10,999 starting from August first week. It will be available in Gold and black variants.
